Pam McFall, OTR/L

Pam McFall, OTR/L, is the president and director of Rockland Occupational Therapy for Children (ROTC). She is a master clinician, researcher, published author, supervisor and college professor. Although Ms. McFall is a newcomer to the Rockland area (having moved to the area just over 5 years ago), she has over 28 years of experience in all aspects of the field of pediatric occupational therapy. She is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment and fully qualified in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT). Ms. McFall is an assistant professor of occupational therapy at Dominican College in Orangeburg, New York and was also a professor of Occupational Therapy at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

She is a frequent speaker/presenter on many subjects in the field of occupational therapy and is engaged in research regarding differing learning styles in students with ADHD. She was an invited reviewer of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) position paper, "Sensory Integration as a Frame of Reference in Occupational Therapy," as well as for the association’s statement concerning sensory integration and school practice entitled, "The Use of Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment Principles within Public Schools."

Other achievements of Ms. McFall include receiving the 1994 Helen Willard Memorial Scholarship award from the AOTA and sharing expertise in other areas of pediatric practice. She was a contributor to a handwriting article published in the OT Advance as well as being listed as a resource clinician in the accompanying resource book to the AOTA’s video regarding handwriting interventions.

Ms. McFall is committed to state of the art occupational therapy practice, striving for the best practice in treating children. She is also committed to developing education and support networks for the families of the children seen at ROTC. Additionally, Ms. McFall hopes to carry on Debbie Murphy-Fischer’s effort of strengthening the knowledge of Rockland County regarding the value of occupational therapy intervention as well as sensory processing and its influence on development and functioning.
